Part I. The Power of the Stones
Everything in this universe has a purpose. The air you breathe, the water you drink, the land you walk upon, and the flames that heat. Welcome to a world where these elements I speak of come alive, in which they are under your control.
Or are they really?
Horse gods and goddesses are powerful. Nonetheless, everybody has their flaws. Yes, even those immortal ones who controlled everything in this world. They were impressively intelligent and strong, but there we so few of them they had no other choice but to harness the most difficult of powers to control--the elements. Every other equine was born under one of the four elements. Earth, Water, Fire or Air. The goddesses and gods held the responsibility of making sure they remained balanced, and did not grow out of hand. But not even the immortal ones could face the weight of responsibility. For as you know, there are much other more important things to worry about in the world. The immortals conversed and decided to harness the power of the elements into stones.
The stones of Fire, Air, Water, and Earth were then placed on this mortal world. And here were their guardians:
King Blodayventer of Air
King Anakin of Fire
Queen Athena of Earth
Queen Nerina of Water
The life source of each bender relies on their set stones. From there, the immortals chose four special royals to be in charge of governing and protecting their stones, for it was without a doubt, a large responsibility. As reward for their servitude the newly found royals were given decrees that they were strangely a part of their element, only in horse form. Therefore, they could easily rule without a fuss. So they were masters of their elements, and all lived happily ever after right?
Wrong.
A goddess make the mistake of telling them, that if all four stones were ever to unite together as one, something amazing would happen. An unknown power would be released, but a tragic fate would accompany the nations who got their stone taken from them. They would perish, and the elemental nation who did unite all four stones would live on as the most powerful, elite, element in the world.
